Church at the Fair

It's All About Jesus

The Event

What is Church at the Fair?

Church at the Fair is a community worship event as part of the Jackson County Fair week celebrations. There will be family activities before and after the service, high-energy music, inspiring stories, and relevant teaching.

“This a great opportunity to get outside, enjoy the beauty of creation, and celebrate with people from around the Rogue Valley. We love to remind people that the church isn’t really the church if it never leaves the building to serve and love its community."

- Pastor Dale Schaeffer (Medford First Church of the Nazarene)

Church at the Fair is is a free event, including parking and admission to the final day of the Jackson County Fair, following the service.

About the Day of the Event

What time does service start?
Service begins at 9:30am and should be about an hour and 15 minutes long.

What time should I arrive to get a seat? Is it open seating?
Gates will open at 8:30am for parking. You should plan on arriving 15-20 minutes early to make your way from the parking area to the Amphitheater. It is open seating. There are plenty of theater style seats as well as a large grass area within the venue.

Where do I park? Is there handicap parking? What if I need assistance?
General parking will be in “South Parking Lot.” This is about a 5 minute walk to the Amphitheater. There are numerous handicap parking spaces available right next to the Amphitheater and we will also be offering a shuttle from the general parking area.  If you are in need of extra assistance we’d love to escort you directly to your seat. Just let one of our guest services folks know when you arrive.

Will there be childcare?
We’re designing our service to be family friendly, there will not be any hosted childcare during the service. We will have a family resources tent within the venue supplied with resources that kids can take to their seats.

Will there still be weekend services at Medford First Church of the Nazarene’s McAndrews location, or Heritage Christian Fellowship?
There will be no “onsite” weekend services at Medford First Church of the Nazarene, or Heritage Christian Fellowship.

Will I be able to watch “Church at the Fair” online?
Yes! It is our plan at this time to have the service streamed online for those unable to make it out.

Will there be food and water onsite?
We will have bottled water, coffee, iced coffee, and donuts available at no charge. Other food options will be available when the fair opens at noon.

Can we stay for the fair?
Yes! Sunday, July 16, is free admission day at the fair. Feel free to hang out at the venue following the service and be first in line when the fair opens at noon!
